A white snow leopard, scribbled in my sketch book at work and colored quite hastily at home in Photoshop. I have doodled a lot of big cats lately. It's Hedvig's fault!
PLEASE READ
This is the last piece of art I will upload here for a while. Deviantart has gotten cluttered to the edge with advertisement lately and looks so insanely cheap and ugly right now that I just don't want my art here anymore. Compare it to the wish of having ones artwork nicely hung and framed on an exhibition. Makes sense, right?
I care a lot about the design and feeling of the online galleries I join. Deviantart has never been a pretty site, but it's billions of functions have made up for it. I realize such a huge and complex site needs money from subscriptions. But placing huge add banners INSIDE peoples galleries, lining it up next to the artwork as if it was part of the gallery to enrage people is just a cheap and tacky way to get it.
It makes me not wanting to get a paid account, although I know it's not expensive.
Instead I have given my Livejournal a throughout makeover and intend to use it as my "deafult" art place from now on. Have a look and you will notice that I have posted art in it for years, including sketches and stuff I don't post to DA.
As most bloggers I write boring stuff about my life and everyday happenings as well, quite often in swedish, but you can always use the "artwork" tag to sort out the entries that haven't got art.
I hope I'm not beeing too troublesome to you guys, the watchers, now. I truly, deeply aprecciate all the comments and favs I've gotten through the years. You're the reason why I've hesitated to leave until now. I will continue to use this accont to view other peoples art, with a sturdy add blocker installed. And if the site owners get to their senses, I might eventually start posting again.
I should probably view my DA gallery with ads turned on, too, since I didn't even notice them because I use Firefox with ads totally blocked... >_> Shoot, they could be plugging pr0n on my gallery and I'd never even know. ;_;
But at least your blog's an LJ, which means I will actually have the ability to keep watching your stuff! XD
Hmm... it may be an add-on that you have to get from the firefox site (it's free) or it may come installed in the newer versions of the browser, but it's called "adblock" and is accessed through the "tools" menu in Firefox.
I actually didn't set mine up myself (my husband did) so I'm not sure about the ins-and-outs of how it all works... It seems to do a pretty good job of blocking ads, though!
A collection of the most beautiful and amazing square photographs I found among my favourites. Please have a look and give these artists the attention they deserve!
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 10 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
When it comes to community spirit, `Rushy is a shining example. From participating in devmeets, to providing positive encouragement to other artists, `Rushy can always be found demonstrating what it really takes to be a true deviant. It's without any hesitation that we are delighted to award the Deviousness Award for July 2009 to `RushyRead More
