Rare piece of fanart from 2012. Just wanted to do the composition with the bear looming in the dark (is it Mother Bear or Mean Bear? Heck do I know, it was not like I had seen the film by the time I whipped this up! Lalala...)
Watercolors on cotton paper. Characters belong to Pixar.

As far as texture is concerned, the paper did all the work.

Great work! This is one of my favorite movies of all time, and not just because I have Scottish relatives! ^_~

I am Scottish and from a scottish family, currently staying in my Scottish boyfriend's flat situated in Edinburgh, the capital of Scotland, and I love this film even though they got her accent 320% wrong if she's meant to be from the highlands... Soo, I guess I 1 upped you there. ;)

Don't get my Nordic sense of entitlement started on Frozen.

Oh god, they had such a great opportunity to make Disney Princesses with Scandinavian accents, but they still went for American.
Liiiittle bit disappointing there.

The scandinavian watchers would have been way too embarrassed. =P
(I can't speak for Norway, where the film is actually set, but a Swedish English accent is wildly regarded as the polar opposite of sexy and cool).

They still managed to screw Brave up. Most of the characters have Glaswegian accents, such as Merida and her Dad, but they're from the highlands.
So close, Disney. So close. :D
