It was a very enjoyable thing to paint. For once I didn't pay much attention to volume. Just the colour fields.
I find the combination of sweet girl face + clumsy, deadly lion paws strangely appealing, so sfinxes are very fun to draw. I also loved using watercolours this way. Nearly everything was done wet on wet, with little consideration of the character's volume. So she's all... dreamy-floaty-flowy-groovy.
